The Continuum:  Assistant General Manager of Operations

Capstone On-Campus Management and The University of Florida have formed a unique partnership focused on providing an excellent living experience for UF Graduate and Professional Students, and Faculty and Staff.  The Continuum staff works closely and cooperatively with the UF Housing and Residence Education team to ensure a consistent, positive living environment. We are currently seeking an Assistant General Manager of Operations to join our team.

Along with the General Manager and AGM of Marketing and Leasing, the AGM of Operations participates in the management of three apartment buildings (approx. 600 students) located between the UF campus and downtown Gainesville.  The AGM of Operations job responsibilities include rent collections, complete daily deposits and batches, maintain copies of leasing documents, give tours, manage work order system, accounts payable, coordinating short term visitors, and creating invoices.  The AGM of Operations will receive training and experience in all aspects of student housing management including budgeting, finance, facility management, and human resource management, to prepare for future career opportunities.

This is not a required live in position, however the option is available.

Start Date: August 6 (tentative)

Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred

Years of Experience: 1 – 3

Salary: $30,000

Residence Life Coordinator: University of Alabama at Birmingham

Capstone On-Campus Management and The University of Alabama at Birmingham have formed a unique partnership focused on providing an excellent on-campus living experience to UAB students. Our team members work closely and cooperatively with the UAB Housing & Residential Life team to ensure a consistent, positive living environment across the campus.

Along with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager (AGM) for Residence Life, the Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) participates in the management of one of 5 residential student communities on the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The RLC's responsibilities include student development programming, newsletters, supervision of 28 resident assistants, 1 Senior Resident Assistant, shared after-hours on-call duties, enforcement of housing policies, supervision of professional office and student staff and co-management of administrative operations including budgets and facilities.

The RLC also serves as a member of UAB’s residence life team, participating in the planning and implementation of University-sponsored residence life initiatives.

In addition to traditional residence life experiences, the RLC, during his or her tenure in the position, will receive training and experience in all aspects of student housing management, including budgeting, finance, facility management, and human resource management, to prepare for future career opportunities. 

 

This is a live in position.

Start Date: June 15, 2012 (negotiable)

Salary: $30,000 - $33,000
